On a recent episode of the Kendra’s Journal Podcast, my brother and I read about our Mom making a Hot Toddy. I know a decent recipe for this and decided to share it here.
2 oz. Irish Whiskey
2 oz. Hot Apple Cider
2 tsp. Honey
2 tsp. Lemon Juice
Lemon slice/wedge (your preference)
Cinnamon Stick and/or Star Anise (optional)
- In a mug, add the Honey to the Hot Apple Cider and stir until the Honey is dissolved.
- Add the Lemon Juice and Irish Whiskey
- Garnish with Lemon, Cinnamon Stick, and Star Anise
- Pro Tip: Before you put anything in your mug, fill it with boiling water and allow that to sit for one minute. Dump that out and immediately add the Apple Cider. This will help keep your drink hotter for longer.
